WordPress just wouldn't install

    I have tried installing WordPress, but I keep getting this problem. I wouldn’t start. Keeps telling me about a problem with the config file. I have editted that file in all sorts of ways, but WordPress keeps saying the same thing. I don’t know what to do.

    Does your localhost webserver work ? I.E. can you view:
    http://<your local wp site>/readme.html

    A VERY COMMON cause of wp-config errors is that the quote characters are WRONG, this is very common on MAC, happens with WINDOZE too. Please make sure that your editor is in the correct mode.
