    Hi. I want to know if anyone has designed a theme, or if it is possible to have a page element in the upper part of a design, with a blog below in the lower section. So, the upper part of the design would be an editable “page” element that usually would not be changed unless necessary, and the bottom part of the design would have the frequently updated blog.

    Thanks. Let me know if you need more clarification on what I’m talking about.

  • I am not very technical, but couldn’t you just edit index.php and put your static
    just after <?php get_header(); ?><?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    and just before <div id=”content”>

    If you wanted to do this on a “frontpage” (that is set up in the admin Settings > Reading) you may want to take a look at this tutorial.
