• Hi,

Today I noticed that all my WordPress websites had duplicate og meta data. I have All In One Seo Pack installed with the Open Graph Meta Data extension activated.

Jetpack is a very useful plugin with lots of great features, however assuming than most WordPress users are already using a plugin for og meatadata purposes, Jetpack shouldn’t provide this service activated by default, and what’s more, there is no way to turn it off.

Jetpack states that it will detect if another plugin is outputting the Open Graph Meta Data, however this is not the case if you use the one provided by the fantastic plugin “All In One Seo Pack”.

By now, a good solution to avoid duplicate meta tags is this small plugin, “Remove Jetpack Open graph Tags”: http://i.wpne.ws/LFwn also there is another plugin providing the same functionality hosted at wordpress.org

Another fix is deactivating the og metatags provided by “All In One Seo Pack” and keep the ones in Jetpack.

Hope that Jetpack developers read this and provide a way to activate or deactivate the og metatags.

    Thanks in advance 🙂
