Invalid username error on Profile's username

WordPress.com says this is a WordPress.org blog. I’m getting an invalid username error using both my username and my updated (and saved) email address that show in Edit Profile. I also reset the pw to be sure, although no error shows for that. I also tried sending a new pw just to check the email address, and it shows as not on file. Any ideas?
