doesnt work in google search?

    Hi, I have a site which is formerly build using soholaunch and now in wordpress, when I search the site in google and click on some of its indexed page it goes to 404 page

    but when I copy the url link to the address bar the redirection works, it will bring to the page where I set as redirect.

    any thoughts?

    Hi creativeph,

    This sounds like an interesting issue – I’ve got quite a few redirects set up and wondered if you can give me an example of a Google search where this is happening?

    Just want to make sure it’s not happening on my sites too!

    Hi,

    sorry but I have switched to a different redirect plugin. I have about 20 redirect urls of a known page indexed by google. what I did was try to google search my domain and click on the indexed pages that is being shown in google search however I was surprise that it give me a 404 page. I have double check my 301 redirects and it is there but didnt work. I tried instead of clicking on the search result I have copied the url into the address bar and hit enter and it works just fine. so I am not sure whats causing the issue, I tried using different redirect plugin and it works perfect, if I search my site and click on the search results it will redirect to my desired redirection page.

    This is a great plugin, but just didnt work for me for some reason…
