• This seems to be happening only with large posts. When I paste all the text into the new post editor, and go to type a title, I know when it is going to give me an error because the permalink does not automatically show up. So when this happens, if I try to save or publish the post I always get an error, and actually my website itself cannot be accessed for about a minute after I get this error.

    My WordPress version shows 3.8.4 in my wp-includes/version.php file.

    Another note is I also created a php5.ini file with the following settings adjusted:

    max_execution_time = 600
    max_input_time = 600
    post_max_size = 100M
    upload_max_filesize = 100M
    memory_limit = 1024m
    upload_tmp_dir = /tmp

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I did try searching for this issue, but I cannot find anything that is current.

  • When I paste all the text into the new post editor

    Please tell us which application you are copying the ‘pasted’ text from? Would it perhaps be a Rich Text Editor (such as MS Word) or an HTML Page (another site)? If so, that post may contain ‘hidden’ formatting and that may ‘muck’ up both the post and your site. Please do not copy and paste from Rich Text Editor apps or other sites and then paste into the Editor.
