• Nothing is intuitive on this theme. Everything either has a steep learning curve, or it requires you to upgrade to something premium. The meta slider required me to go pro before I could get the Vantage ad photos off my front page. No thanks. I do buy premium themes, but I’m not going to buy something and buy upgrades to plug ins just to see if it will work.

  • Hi gesnipes

Sorry to hear that you didn’t like Vantage. Thanks for checking it out though 🙂

Just to clarify though, you don’t need to upgrade to Meta Slider pro to replace the default home page slider. It’s an optional upgrade that gives you layered, animated sliders.

I hear you gesnipes. I stopped using the meta slider myself and switched to the iFeature Slider. It’s clean and has a very low learning curve.

I really don’t understand the gripes. The premium version only costs minimum $15 (my clients have purchased more expensive themes that were a PITA). I’ve used the premium version several times, a bargain as far as I’m concerned. Steep learning curve? If you understand CSS you can do a lot with this theme. I’ve also used other sliders (Layer Slider and Revolution Slider) with this theme, both are accepted. Also, the support from SiteOrigin is excellent. I’ve also used numerous free and paid plugins with this theme and never a conflict.

I enjoy using this theme so much that I’m promoting it at one of my sites (http://myrostrum.com) as one of the featured themes.
