Hey there, have you saved a product with this plugin activated? The SKUs are generated when a product is published or updated. You can view more information on how to use the plugin in the documentation tab here: http://www.skyverge.com/product/woocommerce-product-sku-generator/
YES I have done everything but still SKU is not generating automatic numbers. Can I send you my website details? and please tell me where I can send you details?
Could you please let me know what version of WooCommerce and what version of the plugin you’re using? I’ll try to replicate this.
WooCommerce Version : 2.1.10
PluginVersion 1.1
Okay, I’m not able to replicate this – could you send over admin credentials via this form? http://www.skyverge.com/contact/?form_type=support&purchased=wordpress
Thanks!
Hey there, the issue is that the product must be updated – you can bulk update products or update them individually as described here: http://www.skyverge.com/product/woocommerce-product-sku-generator/
Saving a product updates the SKU. If a product isn’t updated or published, the SKU will not be changes (this is to avoid overriding old SKUs if you don’t want to do so).
Hi Beka.
Unfortunately, it seems that plugin doesn’t work for me too.
I followed every steps as written above but nothing. No COD or SKU generated for a test product.
Should I write something else than only its title?
I am also having the problem. I have installed and activated. Followed the steps with bulk update. Published. Saved. All with no luck.
Hi!
Beka responded to me the right way.
First, I had “custom” permalinks structure. Revert to the default one, after upgrading products, SKU appeared succesfully.
Second, in Woo settings, I selected to create SKU for “Both parents or variants”.
After having done this, SKU have been generated regularly.
Hope it helps.
Hey all, for future reference, you need to open your own support threads. Otherwise, we’re not notified that you’ve created a post since this is marked resolved. The issue you’re experiencing was patched in version 1.1.1 – you can upgrade and use whatever settings / permalink structure you’d like 🙂
