For me, seems to have to do something with searching events. If I turn off the option for searching events, the error goes away. The site (a local site) still worked, but without the widget and events page. I changed the name of the folder, then tried to reactive the plugin. Go to your Events > Theme Options > and click Save options. I uploaded the site with version 2.0.4 to my live server and I got the white screen. I was only to get out of it by changing the directory name. The live site is on a shared server with not a lot of options, but I went it to the different to see what was going on with the PHP settings. I turned on the option for FastCGI support and everything started to work again. Hope this helps for someone.
