I know this topic has come up before. I could really use the capability to import events from other sources. I’m maintaining a city-wide events calendar – http://artvallejo.org. Not all of the folks I try to include have iCal feeds available but for the few that do It would save me a ton of time.

I haven’t bought the Pro version because a) We’re just a listing service – not doing any booking and b) this is 100% volunteer non-profit project with no budget…

… BUT there are some possible funding opportunities for this project in the works, and I’ll likely be able to pay for an import add-on that supports this feature in the near future. Otherwise I’ll either have to wing it with some of the code samples linked here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-events-manager-importing-event , or switch to a different events plugin (at this point I doubt that would save me time, plus I don’t like the formatting of the plugin that offers this feature, and prefer not to waste a lot of time restyling ).

Any chance of this happening in, say, the next six months or so? Thanks!

if you can code then maybe you can try to improved this snippet shared by another user – http://pastebin.com/3UDjZ8Le

Thanks Angelo — I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to try to code it myself. There is no documentation for the pastebin sample in your link, so I’m not sure where to even start with it. I can code a little doing the likes of modifying child themes, but higher level coding isn’t my forte. This task would take me days rather than hours. I’d really rather buy a deluxe plugin. I know there is another thread where Marcus mentioned adding this functionality to events manager … eventually. Is there any chance?

if you can code, you can use that snippet to create a plugin however the devs are working on an importer however no eta yet.
