• Hi, I used the plugin earlier today on the previous host and it worked fine.

Now on the new host when I use it I get referred to the report page as usual but the progress bar doesn’t move and no pages are checked.

I’ve had a look at the api but there doesn’t seem to be anything that tied it to the previous host, so I haven’t created a new one.

I’m guessing that the problem is that the plugin automatically points to a database and that path has changed. If that’s the case would it make sense to uninstall the plugin then re-install and it will make all the connections itself? I’m tempted to go ahead and try that now but I’ll let you decide what makes sense.

    Thanks,
    Donald

Perhaps in moving to the new host the plugin was not activated in a normal way? During plugin activation it will create a number of database tables that uses to store reports.

Let me know if you have tried uninstalling/reinstalling and if that fixed it for you.

Hi, Matt, thanks for getting back to me. I have tried reinstalling but that didn’t work. I don’t really have time to investigate further at the moment so don’t spend any time thinking about it, ok?

By the way, I’ve since tried the native Google version and I couldn’t believe how superior your plugin is, they should just give up and hand it over to you…

Thanks that is really nice of you to say! I sent it out to some of the people on the pagespeed team to show them what I had done with their product, but unfortunately I never heard back from anyone.

    Don,

Just a heads up, I have a new version of Pagespeed out today that may address the problems you were having with the plugin earlier. Give it a shot if you get a moment and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Hi, thanks for letting me know about the update. I’ve tried it again but still no luck. When I’ve got time I’ll try deactivating other plugins to look for a conflict, but that might be some time away…
