immediately lockout invalid usernames and certain UID's not working

    I have “Immediately block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames” filled in with a few popular ID’s and have “Immediately lockout invalid usernames” neither seem to be working. I have a constant stream of invalid user login attempts making it to the 3rd try before they are locked out. The way I understand it, if they are listed in the block section, the IP of the machine should be blocked permanently.

    Hi Eddie,

    Post the URL of your site and which usernames you’re locking out. I’ll try to sign-in and let you know if I’m immediately locked out. Or just try it yourself by launching Chrome in incognito mode, or using a TOR browser.

    A couple of the ID’s I am blocking are admin and test.

    This is one of several notifications I received. All of which have a UID that I have set to immediately block users who try to log in with those ID’s.

    3 failed login attempts (1 lockout(s)) from IP: 105.237.61.140

    Last user attempted: admin

    IP was blocked for 10 minutes
