How to hide username?

    My WP site (not blog) has only one user, and the username is not admin. I get several notifications daily from iThemes that the username has been blocked due to too many bad login attempts, when I know I have not been trying to log in.

    So that means someone else has found out the username. How could they have found it, and what should I do to hide the username?

    Hey Neworld,

    Unfortunately there are many ways for these pesky bots to gain your username. If the attacks continue to be persistent my best advice would be to make a new admin user, be sure you also transfer your content.
