To do what you want above, you can configure the field display to show only certain items on the excerpt (list) view vs. the listing (detail) view. That’s under Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields and here’s the specific article on it here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/docs/#admin-form-fields

We have not tested our plugin with that plugin above. I can’t guarantee that it will have any effect on BD. If their plugin doesn’t support custom post types, then it definitely won’t work.
