I can’t see the images.. I’m getting a Forbidden page.. Are you sure that you’re not talking about, when the RTE is on/off for the button differences?

1. If hotlinking is not allowed – nobody can see your pictures. (Or, maybe, you just didn’t upload them)
2. The Quicktags are the same in 2.0.2. and 2.0.4. Period.
(my suspicion is you are looking at the idiotic wysiwyg editor in one blog and at the normal editor in the other blog)

.: I apologize for the problems I am causing here, I didn’t mean to do that. I don’t understand why the images did not appear. I deleted them from my server, uploaded them again, they are visible to me in FF and IE, but within the Forum at least one of them doesn’t load; I have no idea why that happens. The last thing I want to do is upset anyone in the WP Forums, especially moderators. May I (sheepishly) ask what RTE means?

RTE = Rich Text Editor
Make sure you’re not viewing the one, with it turned on, and the other, with it turned off.. They make the buttons look different, for both ways.. on and off.
To know if it’s turned off, under User Profile page, at bottom, the box will be unchecked like such:

Rich Text Editor = WYSIWYG (=what you see is what you get) = TinyMC… they are all the same.
(You didn’t do anything wrong in the forum! I am just personally obssesed about “educating” people who make mile long main pages… though on a second thought I shouldn’t do that, just let them loose all their upset visitors; LOL)

.: Oh crap…spencerp, you were right, the button on the User Profile wasn’t checked, when I checked it, it turned on the RTE.
Both of you are too kind to me. I stand embarrassed to admit that I’ve been blogging for 4.5 years, have used Blogger, MT, Typepad, and WP, and have published papers on blogging in journals related to my profession (librarianship). Embarrassed may be too weak a word, actually…
Thank you again for your help. I’m taking down the two QT images I previously uploaded. moshu, I’m going to take your – er – observation to heart, and shorten the length of my page. (That would be under Options – Reading?)
