    Hello.

Was hoping that your plugin would be the answer to my search for a time-saving WP curation tool.

My focus is video curation and the template for my WP post page is quite structured with regards to where my monetisation is inserted.

As such I wanted to be able to embed video at a specific size and with some of the YouTube iframe embed attributes modified.

First problem is that the iframe sizing options in MyCurator do not seem to be having any effect.

2nd issue is that it seems that modifying the attributes is not possible.

    Can you advise at all?

MyCurator embeds the video as an iframe, with the width, height and centering attributes that you specify in the Options. Changing the attributes in the Options menu Curation tab will only affect new posts, not old ones. That could be why you don’t see much effect until you get some new posts made live.

It is correct that we don’t allow you to modify any attributes besides size and centering. When you make a Training Post live, you do go into the editor as a draft post. At this point you could click on the Text tab in the editor to directly edit any of the attributes of the video iframe as well as add some if you know the format, before you make the post live.

    Mark,

Thank you for your quick response.

I note your comment regarding the video embed size option only working with new posts and not existing ones.

I went ahead and tested several ‘new’ posts with my embed set to 200 x 150 by choosing it here:

MyCurator > Options > Curation > Size of Embed Iframe

It has had no effect on any new posts I have made so far. All video embeds have shown as 740 x 520 – which is the full width of my post content block.

I will try your suggested workaround for modifying the other YouTube embed attributes I want to control to see how it effects my workflow timeframe.

Your theme plays the main role in how posts are displayed and may not be using the height and width parameters as expected. You might check and see if there are some theme options that describe how iframes or video embeds are displayed.
