2017 Default WordPress Theme & Resume Blogging?

I have used WordPress.com since 2008 and a friend referred me to WordPress.org in 2011 and it has been bittersweet but I am still perfecting my craft as a blogger since. However since three days ago one of Jamaica’s top bloggers and a senior Jamaican blogger to me stopped blogging and canceled all of his blogs. He said there is little blogging in Jamaica and he doesn’t have the funds to sustain the Jamaica Blog Awards as he alone is doing it for himself basically as a one man job.

I wish I could’ve won but since I’ve quit too unless I find good reason not to. I have all these great ideas to start a blog that’s multi-faceted and that works plus I don’t want to create a lot of blogs for more than one thing for everything. I would like to create one blog that I can make a success showing my ability to be diversity and creativity. What should I do to solve this problem for my personal self? Plus hits aren’t even coming and Ive obsessed myself with blogging for a year and a half trying to make every bit better in terms of theme selections and plugins but no actual posting.

Secondly WordPress default themes seem to get worse every year. It took me months to get used to 2014 theme and 2015. 2016 is a joke and I couldn’t bring myself to use a theme that has poor header customization in 2016. Its sloppy and has poor fonts. Why can’t we users get something better to work with when WordPress is so legendary for blogging and websites? WP needs to do better and this time it’s not about content. The theme for 2016 is just sloppy and it doesn’t even re-ignite the fire to blog again. I think another problem is that there are too many themes out there and half or more are poor and premium.

I used to love to change themes but not anymore and give us some vertical headers in 2017 theme like 2015 or at least give us WordPress users the chance to flip the headers from vertical to horizontal and back. What’s up with that WP? Make your themes more than black and white with mediocre fonts. Give me a reason to blog again or should I just stop like my fellow Jamaican blogger. I don’t want to stop blogging like my Jamaican blogger friend. I still have more to give and blog about and I am my own person, not a copycat or follower. Should I take a break and resume in a few weeks to replenish my blogging hobby?

Right now I have taken a break but there’s still a chance I may blog again. Oh, if you suggest vlogging, what tools should I use to crank up the volume on my videos because I can’t seem to hear my own voice clearly. The volume is too low on my laptop and on some of my friend’s laptops Ive tried it on and they use the same Cyberlink YouCam that I do, the latest version as well. Plus the video is dark. What should i do to record audio and video using my laptop’s webcam in terms of software? What software gives me the best quality audio/visual output?
