• Hey there, thanks for this plugin.

I’ve set up Freshdesk per the instructions. When I go to mynewsite.freshdesk.com I’m redirected back to mynewsite.com to login. After logging in, I am simply redirected to my WP backoffice rather than back to FreshDesk. When I try to access FreshDesk after having logged in, I am still redirected back to the WP site to login again.

    How do I fix this?

Did you ever manage to fix this as I am having the same issue?

@marketermatt That is strange. Due to redirection there are lot of issues in the way the plugin is setup.

@tfsmartin I would suggest also trying the official Plugin released by Freshdesk at https://wordpress.org/plugins/freshdesk-support/

I was using the version 1.2.1 then upgraded today to the official version and it is the official version that I am having the re-direct issues with

I have gone back to the original version and it works fine again but the ticket url does not take me to the ticket, it only takes me to the dashboard.

I was advised by Freshdesk to use the official version 1.5 but it does not appear to be working correctly?

@tfsmartin that is strange. I had created this plugin for needs similar to yours and others, however due to redirect issues with Freshdesk, my customers were frustrated. Due to so many redirects anyone looking at the address bar think the site is hacked or something else.

Maybe we Freshdesk users should discuss and see how all our requirements can be put together and than come up with a solution.

Sounds like a plan. My big issue is that when we send the ticket URL in the email to customers, they don’t get taken to the ticket only to the dashboard where they then have to search for the ticket which they are complaining about.

I dont understand these thing enough but it is very frustrating. Looking at other posts, it appears other people are having the same issue.

@tfsmartin, I actually had the same issue. Another issue was that when I replied to a ticket, customers got an email with link to the ticket. When they clicked it, if their session was closed, they were redirected to my WordPress site, and after logging in back to Freshdesk, but not the ticket.

The above is an issue also with other systems. Most issues can be fixed but not the above until we are simply able to let users see their tickets directly on our WordPress sites.

Until than this is usability disaster.
