2012 Theme Breaks in IE8

    Our custom 2012 theme breaks in IE8 with both CSS and likely js.
    -the main nav bar lost its styling
    -the drop-down bar appears but the hover function does not work
    -the entire page appears to be at 150% view

    I’ve checked many threads on this topic but to no avail.
