The UI of this plugin is broken on sites hosted by WP Engine.

Having this plugin (or your Font Awesome plugin) also breaks the UI for the custom WP engine staging feature, preventing sites from being deployed to or from staging, which is one of the features that makes WPE so useful. As far as I can tell, there’s some kind of conflict between the UI in this plugin and the WP Engine plugin UI – I’m pretty sure both are using Bootstrap, so this makes some sense.

Here’s a screenshot of what this (and also the Font Awesome plugin) looks like running on a WP Engine hosted site. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21816133/Screen%20Shot%202014-07-22%20at%2011.08.19%20AM.png

I rolled back to a version with the old UI and the issues are all resolved, but this is definitely a show-stopper for using this plugin going forward as all of our sites are hosted on WP Engine.

I really like this plugin so hopefully this is something you can work out 🙂

I hope that this is the same issue reported here (mostly because I don’t have a WPEngine account to troubleshoot with).

Do you have a moment to try the latest development build of this plugin from Github? (download the latest in the repo, not the latest release which doesn’t have the fix yet) and let me know if that fixes it?

Be sure to disable the Font Awesome plugin for testing purposes as I haven’t pushed a fix for that one yet.

Thanks and I apologize for the inconvenience!

I just pushed an update that may resolve this issue for you. I haven’t updated the Font Awesome plugin yet, but if you could test this update (and disable the Font Awesome one for now) I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I didn’t get back sooner, I was on vacation for a few days.

Unfortunately this issue is not fixed in the new version of the plugin. Still seeing the exact same thing as in the screenshot in the first post.

    Is the staging feature fixed?

This one is going to be tough to troubleshoot without a WPEngine account but I want to resolve it for you if I can.

No, the staging feature is still not working.

How about this: can you add me as a user on your WPEngine account so I can troubleshoot it there?

    That would be awesome.

Given that this is being used on a live client site in production, we can’t let you into that, so we’ll have to set up a blank testing site and install the plugins there.

Can you give me your email address so we can coordinate that way?

I am having the same problem on WP Engine both on the staging site and on the main site as well. My edit UI looks just like the screenshot from @silasb.

I’ve installed the 3.2.3 plugin and am using with WP 4.0 and Shoestrap version 3.2.6.

Would love to use your plugin, but can’t with this problem.

    Hi, Pieter,
The fixes for this haven’t made it into a WordPress.org release yet, but you can get the latest development version of the plugin, which should fix the problems you’re having, from GitHub here: https://github.com/filipstefansson/bootstrap-3-shortcodes

We’re hoping to release the latest version of the plugin once we have a chance to test it a bit more.

Please let me know if this doesn’t resolve your issue and I’ll be happy to work with you further!

This should be fixed in version 3.2.4, released just now. Please report if the problem persists and I’ll be happy to work with you!
