I have AntiSpam by CleanTalk installed with the SpamFireWall enabled, in addition to Security by CleanTalk with Brute Force Protection, Security Report, Security Audit Log, and FireWall all turned on.

Despite this, my server is still being overloaded.

The AntiSpam dashboard tells me that 34,297 spam attempts were blocked by the firewall yesterday, and the Security Dashboard tells me there were only 20 login attempts yesterday (16 of which were me) and yet my web host tells me that there were 20,000 spam hits that still got through:
    11496 /register/
    5589 /
    5487 /wp-login.php?action=register

How can I further harden my website to prevent these Spam registration attempts?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello.

    Thank you for your request.

Please, do the following to enhance the anti-spam protection:

    1. Go to WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Antispam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Don’t check trusted user’s comments” to “No” —>
    2. —> set the option “Protect logged in Users” to “Yes” —> Save Changes.
    3. Go to WordPress Admin Page —> Users —> Check for spam.

Please, mark records in your Anti-Spam Log if our service made wrong decision:
Your Anti-Spam Log [ https://cleantalk.org/my/show_requests?int=week ] —> choose your website in the pop-down menu —> there are buttons “Spam” and “Not Spam” under every record —> mark records using these buttons.

    The instruction is here: https://cleantalk.org/faq#feedback_spam

If there are too many, mark at least several ones. For each mark you get 1 bonus day to your subscription and we update our database and get feedback for analysis.

    Sorry for the inconveniences.

    Your CleanTalk Control Panel: [ https://cleantalk.org/my/ ].

    Best regards.

No need to apologize – CleanTalk is working extremely well – blocking more than 60% of the spam.

I have strong reason to believe my old business partner from the Ukraine is paying to have the site attacked, and so far CleanTalk has protected me from any serious damage.

I have done as you instructed, and I will let you know how it turns out over the next few days.
