2 wordpress blogs on same server - change landing page? (2 posts)

    Hello all,

I'm trying to tie my guitar making blog to the same server as my engineering one. It's a VPS that I have complete access to. Here's the sitrep:

    1) Currently if you browse to my domain http://www.engineers-brain-dump.co.uk you are taken to /var/www/wordpress - which is the path to my engineering blog. This is symlinked to /usr/share/wordpress.

    2) I have created another folder at /usr/share/guitar, which /var/www/guitar is symlinked to. I just copied the process I used for the engineering blog.

    Now here's my confusion:

Because my domain defaults to /var/www/wordpress instead of /var/www - I can't ever browse to /var/www/guitar to install the blog with install.php.

How do I change the default page I get taken to when I arrive at my domain? I'll happily create a page that links me to either blog. Say a 'guitar' button and an 'engineering' one also.

I'm still a beginner at all this, thanks for any pointers.

Well I changed the default directory of my apache server to /var/www and it still takes me straight to my engineering blog - but I can at least now access http://www.engineers-brain-dump.co.uk/guitar/wp-admin and start setting up the second blog.
