A method is given in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/two-sites-two-themes-one-database-same-content?replies=19

My question is weather my plan is a good idea.

I have added code to my sites .htaccess to detect mobile visitors, and set up a seperate subdomain that the .htaccess redirects mobile vistors to.

    valkyrie.federalproductions.com – desktop site
    m.valkyrie.federalproductions.com – mobile site

Using the method described in the linked forum message, each site would have the same content, drawn from a common database, but the OPTIONS would be specific to each site.

I know about WP_touch and other plug in options, so I’m not looking for that sort of advice. I’d like to hear what thoughts you all may have on the plan.

    TIA.

  • Now that I’ve expreimented a bit, I withdraw the question. The technique is no longer applicable, and I now realize that there is little to be gained…
