How long should a scan take? Is an initial scan longer? FYI and others that might read this. i changed the max_execution_time 15 and set a new scan. after this i got Scan can’t continue– stored data not found after a fork. Got type: boolean so i changed the max_execution_time to 12 and set a new scan. * scan completed with one problem Comparing core WordPress files against originals in repositoryProblems found. wp-includes/default-constants.php this problem is only because i got my host to increase my memory limit define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’,’ 40M’) to define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’) * so i chose always ignore this issue. * All good now, scan compleated with no new issues. * thanks again for your help Gaz * Plugin Author [WFMattR](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wfmattr/) * (@wfmattr) * [10 years, 6 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/2-scans-not-compleating/#post-6763143) * [@gaz9012](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gaz9012/): Thanks for following up! The “stored data not found after a fork” is an issue our dev team is working on — it’s fairly rare, but might come up again if you have had it once. * [@kevleitch](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kevleitch/): Usually scans shouldn’t take that long — on some hosts they may only take a couple minutes, but it depends on the host and the site’s content.
