[Resolved] 2 Questions – CPT and Buddypress

  • I’ve been looking at your Pro 2.0 manual and have a couple questions.

    1) The plugin supports custom post types. Can I use the widget and or shortcode to filter likes/dislikes by post type?

    2) Is this compatible with BuddyPress? By that I mean if I like a post or comment will it appear in my activity feed?

Great looking plugin by the way!

    Thanks!

I am working on a version which includes both the functionalities. The 1st one is a bit straight forward where as the 2nd needs some research to be done.

For the 1st one widget part, i will add a textfield where you can provide the custom post type. In case of shortcode, it will be just another attribute.

For buddypress, it will be the activity (like) for the post not comment.

    Thanks

That is perfect. I can’t wait. Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Texans,
Here is an update for you. I have added the buddypress integration for the like activity. Let’s say user “admin” clicked on the like button for the post “New Post”, then it will show the activity similar to “admin liked New Post 7 minutes ago” on the activity page. Please refer to the screenshot here http://tinyurl.com/wti-bp-like-activity-update

    Note:
    – The plugin version for the above functionality has not been released yet.

Will keep you updated on adding the custom post type functionality.

    Thanks
