2 questions: child blogs categorization, posts from child blogs in frontpage

    Hey!

    Been trying out wordpress network for a blog network that im working on. Recently switched back from another CMS to work on a wordpress install for its popularity and dev support. After using it for a while, I ran into 2 questions:

    1- Can I create blogs, organized in categories, like say, “Sports”. The sports category, could contain a blog for soccer, another one for hokey and one for basketball. Can that be done? Im having a hard time figuring that out.

    2- Can I show posts from child blogs (posts I have chosen) into the frontpage? Like in a “featured” section in the frontpage, showing popular posts or “starred” posts.

    If anyone knows an answer it will be very welcomed. Im new to wordpress’s latest version, and havent been using it for quite some time.
