First off, thanks for the great plugin – it truly is fantastic and makes WordPress freaking amazing and powerful. I made a website that took months in Django in a day with Pods and some other plugins.
I have encountered an issue with 2.8.9 and WordPress (tested with WordPress 5.8 through 5.9) where the post_meta fields are being inserted or updated as entirely blank, even required fields. The fields were all created via the pods plugin. Downgrading to 220.127.116.11 fixed this for me. Titles/description and taxonomies appeared to be working as normal in both versions of the plugin however.
I’m inserting via WordPress Importer by hand and wp-cli. They were showing as successful inserts, including the post_meta fields, however they came up blank in WordPress. The XML/WXR file is valid. And again, simply downgrading fixed the issue and now all the post_meta fields are working just fine/populating like normal. If there is anything I can do to help debug this, please let me know. Just wanted to share the temporary solution here if anyone else was having issues.
