On 2.0.7, this tag works perfectly:

    <script async src=”https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=AW-####”></script&gt; <script> window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || []; function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);} gtag(‘js’, new Date()); gtag(‘config’, ‘AW-####’); </script>

On 2.0.13, the tag starts outputting a clickable HTML link to the script directly on the front end:

    <!– Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Ads: #### –>

It does the same thing with another tracking code from clickandpledge so it’s not just Google related tags.

  • Hi @kwalshucnjgmailcom ,
We’ve been unsuccessful at reproducing this bug.

Would it be possible to obtain access to your dashboard so that we can take a closer look at this issue? Some web hosts also provide an easy way to create a staging version of your website which would also provide a way for us to take a look at this issue. We need a way to install test plugins that would give us more insight.

You may email us or open a ticket on our support portal at data443.com/support

You can close this ticket — I will not be able to provide access. Thank you for the fast response.

Further testing has revealed the issue to be some kind of conflict between the most recent version of Jetpack — 11.2 — and the most recent version of Tracking Code Manager. It causes a link to the script to print out instead of running the script. I tested this on both a custom theme, as well as the twenty-twenty two theme.

On my end we will likely deactivate Jetpack for now to solve our issue, but wanted to report back.

Thanks for the information provided, could you send us more details on the configuration used for the Jetpack plugin?

    Thank you

I can repeat this issue and it is indeed something to do with Jetpack and this plugin.

If Jetpack is active, but totally disconnected (i.e., not set up), then this plugin works as expected. I’ll reply if I find out what setting in particular is messing up this plugin.

    Hello @jesseisrad
    great, thank you
    Have a nice day

@jesseisrad @kwalshucnjgmailcom We have identified what we believe is the compatibility issue and a fix is in our QA cycle now. Hope to have a release to you later today or early next week. thank you both for identifying.

@jesseisrad @kwalshucnjgmailcom Please see the latest version and let us know if you still have issues.

hi @data443 – I have tested the latest version of the TCM plugin with the Jetpack 11.2 on the site I was having the problem with. I can confirm, the issue I was experiencing with the script printing at the top of the page is no longer occurring. Thank you very much for the speedy resolution and great communication!

@kwalshucnjgmailcom glad to hear it thanks for confirming!
