As per one of the last posts in the previous thread, I am also unable to scroll the sidebars on the widget page. It was mentioned that this issue might be isolated to Firefox but I am experiencing the same issue on with my local site running v.2.0.2 with Firefox, Chrome & IE9. Still running v.2.0.1 on my live site without the issue.

  • Hi @jaco44,

Greetings and thanks for reporting your findings! I think maybe I see what you mean be just to check, do you by any chance have a mouse with a scroll button that you’re able to try with that?

I’m able to use the scroll button on my mouse here in my test site, but I can’t really think of a way to scroll without that.

If you could verify that’s the issue, I’ll gladly run that by the developer to look into.

Or if I’ve misunderstood and you’re having a different issue, could you please elaborate a bit more on it? Maybe provide a screenshot for reference?

Thanks and looking forward to your reply. 🙂

    Cheers,
    David

    Dear David,

The problem is that the CSS and JS files have an false path configuration. For example we got an custom install (WordPress and Content folders in seperate folders).

So the CSS and JS loading should check where and what the content folder is and put that as path.

Not im getting the URL+abspath+file while it must be abspath+file.

Can you say when this is fixed so we can update again?

    Thanks in forward!

    Hi @augusgils,

I also suspect that @jaco44’s issue was due to the javascript/css loading problem.
The good news is: We solved this yesterday and it will be working just fine when you upgrade the plugin to version 2.0.3!

This was affecting only Windows Servers due to a different path formating. This was the original thread:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/create-a-new-sidebar-button?replies=4#post-5772254

@jaco44: Can you please let us know if you still have troubles with scrolling after you update to 2.0.3?

We’ll also have a look on a solution to scroll the widget-list when you don’t have a scoll-wheel on the mouse. But as I understand it, this accesibility concern was not your main point.

    Thanks
    Philipp

@augusgils: Yes, v.2.0.3 corrected the issue. Thank you all for your quick responses. Not sure if you’re with wpmudev but I plan to launch a subscription service on my site soon & might upgrade to Custom Sidebars Pro & will also take a look at some of the other plugins offered. Thx again.

Well i got this same issue but for me it isn’t solved.

    "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://www.***.nl/wp/home/augus/sites/***/www/content/plugins/custom-sidebars/inc/external/wpmu-lib/css/wpmu-ui.css?ver=3.9.1"

Here you can see that with v 2.0.3 i still get the same issue.

The problem is my plugin folder is in /root/content/plugins/ while the way the script is now its looking in /root/wp/home/augus/sites/***/www/content/plugins.

    So a simple path error.

    Hi @augusgils,

sorry for the late reply – I have been out of office the last week.
The issue you were experiencing was resolved with version 2.0.7 of the plugin. We could not reproduce the problem on our installation but we found and fixed the code that was responsible for this.
Please let us know when you still have any problems here 🙂

    Thanks, Philipp
