The message currently states “Please log in or register.” I am not permitting registration; users to find the submit listing screen will have been given credentials already.

Is there a way to customize this message so that a non-credentialed user will not try to find a way to register?

Hi Margaret,

You can customize the template directly (not recommended) on this page here: templates/parts/login-required.tpl.php.

The *better* way is to use a translation file, which you can read about here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate

That will allow you to change the strings in a way that you can save for future versions without modifying the code and losing your changes on update.
