    Hi,
I’m using SU 4.9.0. With the YouTube Advanced shortcode, there is one option that we really need for it to display correctly. You can add a wmode=transparent option to a Youtube embed URL to fix a problem with z-indexes in IE (e.g., see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9074365/youtube-video-embedded-via-iframe-ignoring-z-index for a description of the issue) . Without this option, the YouTube player’s iframe appears above all other page content, including, for us, drop-down menus that should be above it. If I manually add the embed code with the wmode option (not using SU), the submenus appear correctly, but we lose the responsiveness and other features from SU. Our site is in development on an intranet, so I can’t give a link for it. I can send you a screenshot of the issue if that would help.

If there is a way to add this option to the SU shortcode, that would be great. Thanks so much for your time! We love your plugin!

  • I would be interested in a solution for this too. And the width & height parameters in the video shortcode are not working (at least for youtube videos). Any fix for that available?

I still have the same problem.
I can add the wmode transparent on an embeded video, but this loses the responsiveness of the SU settings.

It as something to do with the position:relative setting, as this makes the video go behind the menu, but messes up the dimensions.

Will have to go without SU this time, but it would be great to find a solution.

    Cheers

Since version 4.9.2 will be added new parameter for [youtube_advanced].
You’ll be able to use the following code:

    [su_youtube_advanced wmode="transparent"]

New version will be released in closest days.

Oh, that’s good news thank you so much.

Thanks for fixing this! Great plugin, and apparently great support as well.
