  • Hello adamsmark,

you have uploaded the complete files with the wordpress-multibox-plugin folder?

Then you have at your webspace the following structure:
    /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-multibox-plugin/somefiles…

In this first version of the plugin there donΒ΄t exist any configuration pages in wordpress. Just browse in the admin panel to “plugins” and activate it on the bottom of the page. When you have do this, please give me a link to your blog and i will check the html code…

Yep…I’ve installed and activated as well…Does not show up..

Not in settings, Manage or tool bar…

Ok, thanks for reply. There is at the moment no config page for the plugin. just activate the plugin and all done.
If the pictures not shown in the multibox, give me please a link to your blog and tell me, what wordpress version you are using.

Tested is the plugin on a wordpress 2.51 up to 2.6.0, and a user have tell me, that 2.6.1 works fine…

    Many thanks!

BlackPixel, after a monthlong (!) search, finally THE plugin I’ve been looking for.

There is just one thing that bugs me:
I would like to display a title and description for each image, like on phatfusion’s demo page: page

Right now, the title is taken from the link’s title which makes it difficult to configure if you have lots of images because it involves an extra step.

Is there a way to have the image title and description information given in the editor inserted in the multibox? These fields automatically open when you upload an image in the editor, so it would be much easier to use.

    Thanks!!

    Hello schikowski,
thanks for your reply. AT the moment i work on a configuration page where you can set several options for the plugin.
The idea to integrate the description under the title is very good. After the next update that comes these day’s, i would try out your idea.

    Manfred

Thanks! Please let us know when the update is available.
    Best-looking lightbox ever!

    Thanks πŸ™‚

At the moment i have pushed a new version in the wordpress repository and the new version 1.0.5 can be downloaded in few minutes πŸ™‚

Installed it and is working perfectly.

    2 things I noticed:
    – arrows are cut off at the bottom
(not in original phatfusion script because description is there)
    – in IE6, arrows and closing X have a white bg
(this is happening even with the original phatfusion script)

    Keep up the excellent work!

    Hello schikowski,

can you send me the link to your blog? tg0[at]gmx.de
I would check the problem with the arrows at the bottom.

At this time i have more good news: i have added the description from pictures to them bottom of the multibox and on the next update you can use this feature πŸ™‚

    πŸ™‚
    Link is on the way…
BTW, this could be a possible solution to the IE6 problem:

    Cheers,

    Hello folks,

now you can download the brand new version 1.0.6… just update and love it πŸ™‚

the latest and greatest version (1.0.8) doesn’t work in IE6 or IE7. Occassionally it does, but more often than not, it gives me a “Operation Aborted” error.

How can I get around this?

Also, the description of the image or media file no longer appears on the multibox – why is that?

I would love to get Multibox working – it seems to be what I’ve been looking for.

    Hello qaxooti,

can you give me an link? By the way, can you look at this site: http://www.rutschmann.biz/php-mysql-javascript-und-ajax/wordpress-multibox-plugin-en

Click at one of the images and look, if is there an description for you?

After you give me an link, i will take a look an your blog… πŸ™‚

    http://www.letitmarinate.com

    is my site.

I think I fixed the Operation Aborted error by replacing the action at the end of the php file to wp_footer (from wp_head).

That seems to have done the trick (for now at least).

But, I still can’t get any descriptions on the images. But, if I install the 1.0.2 version of Multibox, the descriptions do show up.

Any suggestions how to solve this?

Also, if you have another solution to the operation aborted error, then I’d like to hear it (my fix may only be a temporary one…who knows who long it’ll work).

I clicked on the link you gave me and saw the description, but am wondering why mine doesn’t appear. Odd.

    plus…the multibox popup doesn’t center.

    it’s off center.

how can I get it to pop up in the middle of the screen?
