Creating on a second website

    Hi all,

    Sorry in advance if my question is really stupid but it’s the first time that I’m in this situation.

    I have to build a new WordPress website for someone. This person already has a website running (WordPress as well), and wants to replace it by the new WordPress site that I will start building soon, on the same url as the old one.

    How can I work and develop the new website without publishing it at all until finished? Can I work on the same account that was used to create the first WordPress site? Or shall I create a new account? How will I get the new website on the url?

    As you can see, I’m quite confused.
