I know I have asked this question before and was encouraged to renew my Events Manager Pro license; my concern is that the problem won’t be solved. Turns out pending and confirmed registration emails have not been sending to the event owner all along, even prior to license expiration (or to any other email address I request them to be sent to). I am using Events Manager 5.5.3 and Events Manager Pro 2.3.7. The test email sends fine, but I have gone through every conceivable setting (I think) and cannot get the booking confirmation email to send. PayPal connection is fine, and PayPal sends its email upon payment; but the payment is never confirmed in Events Manager and no emails are ever sent regarding the registration. I am in no-user booking mode so everything is being assigned to a fictional “bookings” user, and if I check that user’s bookings I can find the (unconfirmed) registration there. Maybe I am missing a setting somewhere along the line? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

in your payment gateways > paypal; can I know if you enabled delete pending bookings after X minutes? also, can you try to change your mail sending method to SMTP then your gmail account to rule any possible server issue ?

Hi Angelo, thanks so much for your quick response. I changed the email address so it is not gmail (although the event owner address was not gmail, and event owner was supposed to receive notification as well but isn’t) and still no luck, although again the test email goes through fine. Pending bookings are not being deleted, which is good, because even when a PayPal payment is made that is not getting processed through to show “paid” and booking approval — the booking remains “pending” unless I manually approve it. So there is probably something more going on here. At least I can gather the necessary data (custom booking form fields) from the pending booking. I do have the setting set so that emails should be sent when a booking is pending; I’ve set this everywhere I can think of, in the general email settings and per-event.

did you try to use other payment gateways like offline just to try if this will work or send emails ?

    Hi Angelo,
I went ahead and purchased the license renewal (which I should have done earlier!) and redid all my settings… everything is working fine now, although I am still not certain what the problem was. Thank you for your assistance!
