Saving as a post not a slideshow

    I set up a slideshow, get the shortcode -When I publish the slideshow it publishes as a slideshow. When I update it for any reason it updates as a post. Then there are no slideshows listed in the slideshow list… The slideshow is definitely still there since the shortcode works. I can’t get in the slideshow to make any changes. Please help.

    I figured out the issue. I was using a plugin called post type switcher and it was defaulting to “post” in the Publish area. There is no way to select “no change” or slideshow.
