customize your own social media that isn't listed

On the customize page at the bottom of the Social Media and RSS section it says “If you would like to add a social profile that is not listed above, or change the order of the icons, use this alternate method.”

“This alternate method” is a link that I assume is supposed to take you to a set of instructions but all it does is take the current URL and add a # to the end of it keeping you on the same page. Can you direct me to where the link was supposed to go?
