    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The WordPress importer might be able to import the actual table data, but it will not directly restore the table IDs.
    Therefore, it should be much easier to use TablePress’ native export and import feature: On the existing blog, export all tables to the JSON format (into a ZIP archive to save some work). On the new site, just import that ZIP file (choosing the JSON format).
    That should restore the tables as on the existing blog. Then, manually copy over any “Custom CSS” on the “Plugin Options” screen (if you have any).

    Hi,

    a small update on this: 🙂

    TablePress 1.5 will integrate into the WordPress importer/exporter, so that one can use that to move or backup tables as well.
