Can you link several wordpress installs into one?

    I’m not sure how to phrase this question but I need the user base of several wordpress multisites linked into one community.

    The idea is to have several niche sites where bloggers can have their own blog like at wordpress.com where as the user will have a blog at

    bloggername.mysiteniche.com

    I want about 5 sites like this where they each have a different niche but I want to be able to set up one large community for the users of all the sites.

    bloggername.mysiteniche1.com
    bloggername.mysiteniche2.com
    bloggername.mysiteniche3.com
    bloggername.mysiteniche4.com
    bloggername.mysiteniche5.com

    All users in community at mysitecommunity.com

    Is this possible?
