AAM menu dissappeared after maintenance.

    After starting my wordpress maintenance – updating plugins and wordpress version – I lost AAM menu in my admin menu. Besides that I lost also any evidence that AAM plugin is still working in WP. I cant see it in plugin list, nor as deactivated plugin. Though the plugin folder is still on my www among the WP installation. I am not sure now if it means that it is not active in my WP or not. I am not sure if I can reinstall it back again or not without doing some damage to the site.
    Besides AAM I lost also other plugin from the plugin list – device-theme-switcher, though its files and folders are present on www file structure as well. Any ideas how to safely revitalize AAM back ?
    Before starting the maintenance AAM version was 2.3

    Hi skadmin2000,
    It might be the case when you lost some capabilities. You can send us the dump of you database so we can check what is going on in your system.

    We usually are interest in wp_options, wp_usermeta tables.

    Is there a way to just “Reset Settings to default”? I am using a multisite, inadvertently changed AAM to be accessed by Super Admin in one of the sites and now I can no longer find the AAM menu on that subsite even when using Super Admin account. Any ideas?

    Hi bloggista,
    AAM Settings and WordPress capabilities are two separate things. You can reset to default AAM Settings, but set of capabilities has to be restored manually. Check this topic for more information: http://wpaam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29
