  • I’m also missing multiple buttons. With the single button adding a row is a nightmare. It reqiures three clicks instead of just one. Three clicks for every row that I want to add…

Please change the single button to multiple buttons as it was in the previous versions.

I think most of the plugin’s users prefer the slimmer profile, as creating tables is not an every day activity.

Still, I’ll investigate. Keep in mind the change wasn’t arbitrary redesign, but driven by TinyMCE’s practices, with the big move to TinyMCE 4 in WordPress 3.9.

I appreciate you looking into it. I understand that for most users tables are not part of their everyday content. But from an academic content perspective, tables are often the only way to digitalize certain works (more specifically index books), Given the large size of these works, every extra step added to the workflow translates into weeks of additional work. Having the option to revert would be a godsend.

@matthew : My current workaround involves the use of a second wordpress install (pre 3.9) to create the tables. Then export the result to the live environment. Not ideal by any stretch of the imagination, but it beats taking three steps for each row.

I, too would like this feature. I know it may be lacking the icons, but the functionality is there. It would really help with writing quick blog posts that use a lot of tables.
