Display lightbox directly from product listing page

    Hey!

    First of all thanks a lot for a great plugin.

    I have one little problem however. In my scenario, I have no detailed product description (it is not a shop really), and therefore the product details page looks empty and completely unnecessary. So my idea was to just display the large image (lightbox) when user clicks on the product in the product listing page, and not redirecting to the product details page at all.

    Could you please point me in the right direction how I could achieve that. I was trying to do it on my own but with no luck, as I my http/php/css/js skills are way too low 🙁

    Thank you for your interest in eCommerce Product Catalog plugin.

    The only way to achieve what you need is to create the plugin which will modify eCommerce Product Catalog output. There is no one simple solution to achieve that.

    Hi Pedro,

    As I sad before this can be achieved by some customisations. A custom extension would solve it. It should:

    – disable product pages completely
    – customize the product add/edit screen to disable unneccessary fields
    – show the details in lightbox
    – add appriopriate styling for the lightbox window

    It is really not possible to create a guide for such complex job.
