Prevenet Everyone Getting Emails From Replies

Hi – I love this plugin but there is one main problem – not only do subscribers to a group get emails when people post but they also get emails when anyone replies. Not sure why it is set up this way but like any forum or even facebook you should only get notifications when you reply (or Like) a comment. Can this be changed so everyone who is subscribed to a group gets an email when somene post initially but then only gets furhter replies if they themselves have replied?
