    Hello,
I have a problem. When a user is logged in, the top (black) WordPress nav bar becomes “sticky”: when the user scrolls down, the nav bar stays on top of page, but when he wants to scroll upwards – a picture of it stays where it got to, sometimes even breaks into sections…
If it were just me – I wouldn’t care. But I am running a school Intranet (a network of private blogs), and it really is bothersome.
    Can you help?
    Thank you,
    Vera

    Hi Vera,

Please create a thread for WordPress stuff here

as that would be a proper place to ask such a question.

    Hi Themonic,
You think this is not because of the theme?

    To be precise:
I have a Network, with lots of themes.
Before I installed this one – I had a different one for several years.
Never have I experienced this – untill THIS THEME was installed.
So – you think it has nothing to do with the Theme?

Please, some answer to the above questions?
    Thank you,

Yes, it doesn’t appear to be theme related.

For troubleshooting help, ask here please:

    Update:
I have changed the theme in a website upgrade – and the problem immediately disappeared.
I only had experienced this problem on 2 blogs, at the same time, both of which ran on the Iconic One theme.
    It feels definitely theme related.
For myself – no longer relevant.

The black bar is of WordPress itself, themes cannot interfere with its display, that is why I asked you to ask in the WP support forum.

A plugin/theme/WordPress conflict might also cause that, but if you update your WordPress, plugins and themes to the latest version, the problem shouldn’t be there.

Just for those who may be experiencing same problem and to set things straight:
    1. I did ask, nobody answered.
    2. I have done my homework: deactivated one plugin after the other – not causing it.
    3. WordPress has been updated several times.
So – I don’t know, you know much better than me. BUT – change theme, with all the other stuff unchanged – the problem vanishes. Return theme – problem reappears.
From where I am looking this signifies theme problem. I have no idea HOW, nor do I care, to be perfectly truthful. And if you say a theme CANNOT interfere – well, you know best.
Anyway, thank you for the reply.

Is there any way you can provide steps so that we can reproduce the issue at our end?

If you were not in the intranet I could have login and look at the issue directly.

Please contact us at support@themonic.com and we would provide you login details of our demo installation where you can try to reproduce the same issue.

Thank you for your response now.
However, as I said, I have already changed the theme. I’d love to help recreate it so you can see how you can solve the issue, but at the moment – I just don’t have the time.
But if I have more time after the school year ends – I’d let you know and help you reproduce the issue and resolve it, if that’s ok.
