Since the last two updates, CAS stopped working properly.

For one sidebar, I had two condition groups, and it was working fine. It stopped working for one condition group. The condition group it stopped working for were just a couple of pages. It had an impact on the page because one of those pages is where users are directed to when they login, so the appropriate sidebar was not showing up.

I just encountered another issue with a different sidebar where I simply added a new page to an existing condition group. The condition group had like 6 other regular pages in it. The sidebar shows for those original 6, but not for the last page I just added.

Any help or ideas? Very much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Jose

    Thank you for your feedback.

Can you give me the exact settings for the sidebar in question?

    Hello Joachim,

I have two separate condition groups. The first has BuddyPress sections of the website, which include activity, messages, notifications, settings, and profile.

The second condition group consists of two regular static pages.

Currently, the sidebar only appears for the first group.

    The options are:

    Singular and Archive
    Replace, Sidebar
    Merge to Top

Note: If I erase the second condition group and add those two static pages to the first condition group, the same outcome will occur. The content aware sidebar will only appear for the buddypress sections of the website, and not for the static pages.

The way it is now was working fine about two updates ago.

I have also tried to use just “Singular” and not archive, but doesn’t change anything. There really isn’t a need for archive anyway as all of the content associated with this sidebar is singular.

    Thank you,

    Jose

The options seem fine. When you say “static pages”, do you then refer to regular WordPress pages or static pages as described in the plugin (front page, 404 page, search results)?

Have you updated any other plugins recently?

    Hello Joachim,

Sorry for the delayed response. Whatever was going on, the sidebars and your plugin seem to be working great so far.

I’m on a mission to review every plugin I use. You’ll see me soon.

    Thanks for the help.

    Jose
