• Site down for two days by trying to add twitter widget.
As the dashboard was down too I could not deactivate the plugin…. Was very painful for 2 days !! Not worth it.

    Hi,

I’m sorry to hear about this. Were you able to get back on your feet? What errors were you seeing?

I’m not able to duplicate any problems with adding the Twitter Widget, so any information could be helpful in case anyone else runs into issues.

    Thanks.

I’ve been having the same problem. It kills my MySQL process completely. I have narrowed it down and I’m pretty sure it has to do with the site stats part of jetpack. I have that disabled now, and I’m gonna give it a week to see if it crashes again. That will more than double my current site uptime record since this problem happened. The db has crashed over two dozen times in the last month.

    Hi vinnlandia,

Is there any other stats plugins running? Jetpack stats stores and retrieves stats from the WordPress.com database specifically to avoid killing anyone’s database if they see a spike in traffic.
