What kind of issues with customizr?
Mainly issues with site not loading, unable to access admin page, intermittent connection issues, and overall performance.
It is the only plugin installed…
And this happens just with customizr?
I had my hosting company run test and they found issues and deactivated the plugin GUIforms and everything worked fine after that, I then installed easy contact forms and now my site is loading slow and some people can’t even get into the site.
I can create a basic HTML/php contact form, but I want a plugin so my client can easily make changes if they want. I didn’t know if others had success with some of the form plugins out there.
Which doesn’t answer to my question. You said those plug-ins cause issues with customizr, which, if true, is an important thing. By the way I cannot see a valid reason for that, but it’s just my opinion, and you can trash it. 🙂
There’s this simple plug-in: http://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
which, for what I know, doesn’t cause issues, or at least, never caused slow-down issues to me.
p.s.
it’s not visual and your clients still need some html skills to build a form, so propably it’s not good for your case.
That’s great, I just wanted to know of some other ones to try. I have a very basic site and I can’t see why a single plugin would slow the site so much, to the point it can timeout. Thank you, I will try contact form 7, if anyone has other suggestions…please post, I will leave unresolved for a few hours. Thanks.
Contact form 7 is very basic and I’ve never had any issues with it. It seems well supported.
As has been said, Contact form 7 is a leading plugin. Another that has had good reviews is Ninja forms: http://wordpress.org/plugins/ninja-forms/

CF7 is very solid and 100% compatible with Customizr.
However, as a newbie (it was the second plugin I ever installed), I found it quite daunting because it assumes, quite reasonably, that the user is HTML and CSS savvy. It creates plain forms and leaves any decoration to your CSS skills – unlike some other plugins which include styling options in their settings (mostly not to my taste though).
I have used it for three forms on my maiden site – including this long one.
You said ‘free’, so you’re probably not interested in paying for the King of plugins: Gravity Forms.
It is amazing.
