• I am helping a friend to develop their website and they have a form which users have completed in Gravity Forms and, as of now, will be registered as members. However, people have completed the form already and they are not registered as members. As a result, we’re looking for a solution to import users and keep the data intact. By the looks of things, this may be the plugin that we’re looking for. I would like to know if the import function will send emails to all imported users? Also, given the name of the plugin, it would import the data into wp_usermeta? Would I be right to assume that?

  • As I understand it, if your CSV file contains the same field names as already exist in the wp_users table, then that information will be imported directly into that table. Other fields (which don’t yet exist) will be created and stored within the usermeta table. Be aware that the import function is only available in the paid version. Have a look at ‘Import Users by CSV’ plug-in, which does email users you import.

    Hello,

User Meta Pro import user’s data to wp_usermeta table, It have a import editor which allow you to map field from csv file to WordPress field, in case of new field, you can specify meta_key or it will auto generated according to CSV file.

And while importing, there is an option to send email notification to new users. That email also customizable.

    Thanks.
