[Plugin: nextGen Gallery] slideshow / lightbox not working

I don’t understand why nggallery is not working correctly.
What would reasons be for the slideshow and lightbox not to work?
I’ve set nggallery up for a previous site and it worked fine, and
I’ve done the exact same thing and it will not work.

I’m thinking it has to do with PHP on the hosting sever?

Please help!

Hi,
there are things missing that should be included in your header (scripts for overlay, css and flash for slideshow), is your theme missing the <?php wp_head(); ?> function normally could be found in the header.php of your theme files?

yep your right!
I use my own theme, but yea somehow I didn’t have <?php wp_head(); ?> in there! Thank you for helping!

Hi,

I have been reading posts and trying every suggestion for a couple hours now and I still cannot get slideshows to work for me. Everything else is fantastic and I truly believe I have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am not getting any lightbox/thickbox to show at all – is there some setting I’m missing in the settings pages?

Everything worked fine to create a gallery on the front page, but when you click on the thumbnails, it just opens the pictures in a blank page.

been looking for an answer to my question on why slideshow was not working, just found it with teh wp_head() function. Thank you ryanoz!
