Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.
Already tried examining element. It doesn’t help. Anyone has an idea how to do this, please reply. Thanks much.
What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?
Theme is mesocolumn

He uses default WordPress comment styling. It just looks so bad how it compresses inward as it nests. I understand the need for left-indent, but the right padding is outta control.
#commentpost .comment_text {
font-size: 1.2em;
line-height: 1.4875em;
width: 500px;
word-wrap: break-word;
}
I’ve had some success with adjusting width in this class,
and this class
ol.commentlist li div.vcard p {
width: 500px;
}
But then the deeper nests extend out past the border… And the theme is responsive, so trying to stick with %, but 100% does nothing. I can only shrink them, not extend them when using relative values…
