Permalinks corrupts frontpage extensions on IIS

    I installed wordpress on a windows server and everything runs fine except when I started using custom permalinks, it corrupted the frontpage extensions. The site keeps hanging, unless I remove the frontpage extensions. What is the fix? I am currently using the custom 404 errorpage.asp from this website http://www.keyboardface.com/iis-permalinks/
